Audi News: week 23

  • After being discontinued in 2005, Audi seems to be reviving the A2 as an MPV-style car. The main difference is that the car will be electrically powered, in response to the BMW's i3. For more info on the new Audi A2, see the website of Autoexpress.
  • Production of another Audi novelty, the new Audi Q3, has started yesterday with the first Q3 rolling of the production line in Martorell, Spain. The annual production of the Q3 is estimated to be around 100.000 cars each year, being produced in a three-shift assembly line.   • Finally Audi has released more information on the new Audi R8 Spyder. Audi used much resources to decrease the weight of the car and managed to shave of 85 kg of its weight and features a V10 engine with 560hp. Production is said to be curtailed to just 333 units to retain exclusivity, and more on the R8 Spyder through dailycar.info.
